Dr. Lori J. Hillman

Dr Lori J Hillman is board certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Well trained, thorough and compassionate, Dr Hillman is an independent podiatric physician and surgeon in The Woodlands, Texas. For almost 30 years in private practice, she has loved providing care to patients of all ages from newborns to geriatrics. She provides ethical high quality conservative and surgical care for individuals with all types of foot pain, problems, and pathologies.

At Duke University (Durham, North Carolina), Dr Lori J Hillman completed her undergraduate B.S. degree in Zoology and Psychology. While at Duke, she researched Rheumatoid Arthritis and worked in the Duke Medical Center laboratory. In 1986, Dr Hillman received her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery/ The University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences (now Des Moines University) in Iowa. During clinical and surgical training, Dr Hillman completed externships at hospitals, podiatric physician and surgeon’s offices, and other facilities in Arizona, New York, Georgia, Texas, and Connecticut. The majority of fourth year podiatric medical school training was completed at the West Haven Veterans Administration, affiliated with Yale University.

After podiatric medical school, Dr Lori J Hillman matched and completed her first choice surgical residency at Harris County Podiatric Surgical Residency Program in Houston, Texas and Liberty Medical Center Podiatric Surgical Residency Program in Baltimore, Maryland. In addition, Dr Hillman received specialized medical, orthopedic, and surgical training while completing a Foot Fellowship in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Maryland Hospital (Baltimore, MD). During residency and fellowship training, Dr. Hillman provided extensive conservative and surgical care to patients in UTMB in Galveston, prisoners at Huntsville prison, newborns and children at Kernan Pediatric Hospital, trauma victims at University of Maryland Hospital, and others at various Houston hospitals and surgical centers.

Since 1988, Dr Lori J Hillman has provided care and relief of foot pain to patients from The Woodlands, Montgomery County, Harris County, and surrounding areas. She has performed foot surgery and comforted others who have travelled to Texas from other states and countries to receive treatment. Volunteering her time and medical expertise, Dr Hillman has visited Mexico and provided care to children with congenital deformities and other painful foot problems. Over the past 30 years, Dr Hillman has provided both surgical and nonsurgical foot care to several professional and Olympic athletes.

As a US Master diver and Conroe Diving Club member, Dr Hillman competes in both National and International Masters Diving Spring board and Platform diving events. Since high school, as a diving coach and water safety instructor, she enjoys teaching all ages to swim and dive. In addition to spinning, twisting, bouncing, flying off diving boards and platforms from various heights, and plunging into swimming pools, Dr Hillman is PADI certified and enjoys scuba diving. Growing up near Jones Beach, on Long Island in New York, she loves the beach, ocean, and hot weather. After visiting The Woodlands to watch diving at the 1986 Olympic Festival, Dr Hillman decided this friendly Texas community and beautiful location is where she wanted to open her medical practice and raise children. Dr Hillman is the mother of two, both born and raised in The Woodlands (attended College Park HS). Her older son is a chemical engineer, graduate of University of Colorado Boulder and younger child is a graduate of University of North Texas.
